The green cart program has been implemented in Hamilton ON for a couple years now and it has been amazing and so rewarding to see how it has grown, especially as a green fanatic. However I am really frustrated by the lack of commitment of people within the community to really take hold of this great program and help divert waste.

My concern is how do we get those who do not know about the program or don't care about it to actually care. There is only so much one person such as myself can do by word of mouth.

With the help of NGOs and municipal programs the word is spread but how can we keep people interested in environmental sustainability without making it a "chore" for them.

Frustrating...
